Introduction. Tribute To Queen

Antiguamente en el ETITC las actividades culturales eran muy pocas, pero hoy en dia gracias a algunos maestros y alumnos que decidieron romper con la rutina contamos con actividades como The English Week que son espacios para que se muestren otras facetas del alumnado y que permiten el desarrollo de relaciones en eventos públicos.
El tributo a Queen se realizo el día 27 de octubre en el cual, se presentaron diferentes alumnos del grado decimo a interpretar algunos éxitos de esta reconocida banda. Estos actos contaron con una escenografía y coreografías particulares para cada canción desarrolladas por la docente de Ingles Rocio Acosta, que fue él entre promotor para el desarrollo efectivo de esta actividad.

The song was a worldwide hit, charting number one on the United StatesBillboard Hot 100, number two on the R&B charts and the Disco Top 100, and number seven in the United Kingdom Singles Chart.

We Are The Champions

"We Are the Champions" is a power ballad written by Freddie Mercury, recorded and performed by British rock band Queen for their 1977 album News of the World. One of their most famous and popular songs, it remains among rock's most recognisable anthems. The song was a worldwide success, reaching number two in the UK Singles Chart, and number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.

We Will Rock You

 "We Will Rock You" is a song written by Brian May and recorded and performed by Queen for their 1977 album News of the World. Rolling Stone ranked it #330 of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004, and the RIAA placed it at #146 on its list of Songs of the Century. In 2009, "We Will Rock You" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.





I Want To Break Free

 "I Want to Break Free" is a song by the British rock band Queen, which was written by its bassist John Deacon. The song was featured on the Queen's 1984 album The Works and distributed as a single on 7-inch and 12-inch vinyl records and 3-inch and 5-inch CDs. The song had three versions: album, single and extended, differing in length by a more than a factor of 2.

Bohemian Rhapsody


"Bohemian Rhapsody" is a song by the British rock band Queen. It was written by Freddie Mercury for the band's 1975 album A Night at the Opera. The song has no chorus, instead consisting of three main parts: a ballad segment ending with a guitar solo, an operatic passage, and a hard rock section. When it was released as a single, "Bohemian Rhapsody" became a commercial success.



Living On My Own


"Living on My Own" is a song by Freddie Mercury, originally included in his first solo album Mr. Bad Guy. It was released as a single (backed with "My Love Is Dangerous") in September 1985 in the United Kingdom where it peaked at number 50. The July 1985 release in the United States had "She Blows Hot & Cold" as its B-side.





Under Preasure


"Under Pressure" is a 1981 song recorded by Queen and David Bowie. It marked Bowie's first released collaboration with another recording artist as a performer, and is featured on Queen's 1982 album Hot Space. The song reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart. It was also number 31 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the '80s.

You're My Best Friend



"You're My Best Friend" is a song by British rock band Queen, written by their bassist John Deacon. It was originally included on the A Night at the Opera album in 1975, and later released as a single. The song also appeared on the Live Killers (1979) live album and on the compilation album Greatest Hits (1981).







Love Of My Live



Love of My Life" is a ballad by the English rock band Queen from their 1975 album A Night at the Opera. The song was written by Freddie Mercury about Mary Austin, with whom he had a long term relationship in the early 1970s. After performing the song in South America, a live release of the single reached number 1 in Argentina and Brazil in 1981, and stayed in the charts in Argentina for an entire year.

Historia De Queen

Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1971, originally consisting of Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar, vocals), and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals). Queen's earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works, incorporating more diverse and innovative styles in their music.

The band has released a total of 18 number one albums, 18 number one singles, and 10 number one DVDs, and have sold over 150 million albums, with some estimates in excess of 300 million albums, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. They have been honoured with seven Ivor Novello awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
